Our last day here and time to get out of the resort and see the real Jamaica. We decide to hire a private driver to tour us around. While it might cost you more money, you have the flexibility to go where you want and go home when you want! Our driver is an affable chap called Denton.
Our first stop is supposedly the first place where Christopher Columbus landed---it is called Discover Bay. Of course, there is a local guide who works for tips to show you around and give a both a distorted and informed history lesson. This was once a plantation that wen from the mountain up above down to the water to load the sugar cane onto ships. It was some what interesting and we took the required photos...
