Miscommunication is our theme for today

I do my usual get up at the crack of dawn and let Sarah sleep. I secure what I think is a great spot of the beach with our towels. People are up at 7 am putting their towels on chairs by the pool and beach securing their positions early then coming back later to lie down in the sun or spot of their choice.

I go back to the room to seeing Sarah half awake I mentioned they we have a plan we can text each other so when she is ready just text me and we can connect. You have to realize the resort is enormous and the best of circumstances it would be difficult to locate someone.

I go back down to the beach to await my wife's text. One goes by, I text her, no response, two hours go by, I text her, no response, three hours go by, I text her, again no response. At this point, I am thinking maybe she just wants so time alone. As hard as that is to believe someone not wanting me around, I stop texting and just settle in to read. A torrential downpour and a darken sky has me rethinking my beach position.
The good thing there are bars everywhere, so I make my way to the hotel porch to relax and read.

I finally notice Sarah in the lobby area and asked what happened? She said I got your text but they never told me where you were. I said why did you not text me back? She informed that she thought I told her not to text back as it would be very expensive. We have a family phone plan, I cannot make anything one way. Whatever I do goes for the entire plan. Finally, she told me that she had a spa day. I mentioned to her I just figure she wanted to have a DMT day, Doing My Thing day so I left her alone. I shake my head, oh well, the Mars and Venus thing of communication going on.

We sat on the porch when she mentioned the van that was going to the Rose Hall shopping mall of shops. I passed on that idea, come to think of it I do not know if I was invited so off she went and me here to read my Kindle and relax......

Our evening proved better in the communication department. We went downstairs to eat ----Jamaican food. I have to admit this resort so has some of the best all-inclusive food offerings I have encounter in my travels. Usually, when you include the food in these resorts, as it is hard not to because no restaurants are nearby, you do not get gourmet offerings.

The bewilder look of a man in miscommunication....
